The sun is shining and the daffodils are in full bloom, Spring has arrived at last! As is customary at this time of year, many of us will be cleaning, clearing out and perhaps optimistically, putting our winter clothes away.
Here’s our guide to making your Spring as green as possible!
You don’t need to use harmful chemicals when cleaning your home. The contents of your kitchen cupboard are often just as effective. Have a look at our guide to natural cleaning.
While sorting through your clothes you may come across a few that you no longer need or want. Give them a second chance – donate to your local charity shop, use your nearest clothing bank or organise a swishing party. Remember, even if they are a bit past their best and not suitable for reuse, they can still be recycled.
If you’re planning on having a clear out, remember that you can reuse and recycle lots of household items at your local Reuse and Recycling Centre. VHS and cassette tapes, electrical items and carpet are just some of the items accepted at the Lambeth Reuse and Recycling Centre and you can recycle small electrical items such as kettles and hairdryers at one of our on street WEEE banks.
