Help us to tackle junk mail

Junk mail posted through letterbox If you’re fed up of coming home to a doormat covered in takeaway menus, leaflets and business cards, you might be just the person we’re looking for!

We need Lambeth residents to help us to tackle the junk mail problem in Lambeth.

What will I have to do?

  1. We’ll provide you with a ‘No Junk Mail’ sticker for you to clearly display on your letterbox. Our new Junk Mail sticker is carefully worded to discourage the posting of menus, sales flyers and business cards. We’ll then ask you to keep a diary of the junk mail you receive over a two week period.
  1. Once the two weeks are over, we’ll ask you to provide us with information on the amount of junk mail you have received and the details of the businesses or organisations that have ignored the No Junk Mail sticker.
  1. We’ll then contact them to request that in future, they respect the wishes of those householders displaying a No Junk Mail sticker.

If you would like to participate or find out more, please contact Waste Development Officer, Catherine Bourke on cbourke2@lambeth.gov.uk before Friday 10th August.
