Feed the 1,000 Roadshow comes to Brixton

To highlight the amount of food that is wasted in the UK each year, the Feed the 1,000 Roadshow will aim to feed 1,000 Lambeth residents on Friday using £600; the amount of money that the average family spends on uneaten food each year.

As well as a tasty, free lunch, you’ll be able to chat to the Love Food Hate Waste Team about saving money and making the most of your food, stop at the Lambeth Recycling Bus for composting and general recycling advice and visit information stalls from local charities and Brixton Library.

When: This Friday 23rd November between 11.30am and 3.30pm.

Where: Windrush Square, Brixton

Drop in at anytime during the day to receive your free lunch and learn more about tackling the food waste problem.

More information about the event can be found on our website. Further information on food waste along with great recipes for leftovers can be found on the Love Food Hate Waste website.
