Get involved in a community litter pick in Clapham next Tuesday

love%20where%20you%20live%204Next Tuesday, 23 July, staff from McDonald’s in Clapham will be heading out onto the streets for a community litter pick.

McDonald’s staff carry out three to four patrols every day to ensure that the area around the restaurant is free from litter and last year, in partnership with Keep Britain Tidy, they held an event on Clapham Common that attracted over 30 volunteers and resulted in the collection of 10 bags of litter.

This year, they want to make sure it’s even bigger and better. 20 members of staff have already volunteered their time and they are looking for members of the local community to get stuck in too.

If you have some time to spare and would like to get involved, you can meet with the other volunteers at 9am in McDonald’s, 130-134 Clapham High Street. All volunteers will receive refreshments and then head out to start litter picking at 10am.

Volunteers will be provided with the necessary equipment, including litter pickers, bags and brooms, so you just need to bring yourself!
