When it comes to litter, which side of the fence are you on?

Lambeth Council is joining forces with environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy to highlight the real cost of litter.

Over the weekend of 15 to 17 November, part of busy Clapham High Street will be divided into two sides of an imaginary fence – one side will be regularly cleaned, the other will be deliberately left untouched to show just what happens when we stop cleaning up people’s litter.

Litter is a problem that is costing almost £1billion a year to deal with in England and here in Lambeth more than £7.3m is spent on cleaning the streets every year.

If you are in Clapham on Saturday or Sunday, please come along to see us.
