By making some changes om Rosendale Road, we hope to reduce the volume of traffic passing through the area at peak times, reduce traffic speeds and congestion.

We’re starting from scratch and want to involve local residents right at the start of the process to find the best solution for the area.

We would like to invite you to our upcoming events so that you can find out more about the Quietways programme, give us your views, and get involved in shaping the proposals. Engineers will be on hand to answer questions.

  • First workshop – will be focused on sharing information. We will present the Quietway programme, listen to your experiences of what is currently happening on the local roads, and discuss how a reduction in traffic travelling through the area might be best achieved.
  • Second, third workshops and fourth workshops – (the same workshop held three times to allow maximum attendance at one or the other) will be an opportunity for residents to explore and develop a range of design ideas with the help of our engineers.

Workshops will be held at All Saints Church, Lovelace Rd, London SE21 8JY

Workshop 1 – Information Gathering Drop In      Wednesday 30th September        5.00pm – 8.00pm

Workshop 2 – Co-design Workshop                     Saturday 10th October                 10.30am – 1.00pm

Workshop 3 – Co-design Workshop                     Wednesday 14th October             5.00pm – 7.30pm

Workshop 4 – Co-design Workshop                       Saturday 24th October                10.30am – 2.30pm

All very well but what is the point of the consultation if the council officers have already decided what will happen – see the shameful ignoring of local opposition to the recently imposed Loughborough Junction barrier

Hi Robert, thank you for your comments. These projects will be shaped by local residents and the series of events are designed to incorporate residents’ wishes into the plans. We’ll be updating this blog and our website with progress made. Many thanks.

  3. As a local resident, I went to one of these “consultation” meetings. The choice of a cycling lobby group to run the process tells you what you need to know. The juggernaut to do something to Rosendale Road seems unstoppable – despite the fact that cyclists themselves favour other routes. If you live nearby your street will become a rat-run. Take a look at what’s happened to Loughborough Junction.

Hi Charles, Thank you for your comments. There will be no closure of Rosendale road. These projects will be shaped by local residents and the series of events are designed to incorporate residents’ wishes into the plans. We’ll be updating this blog and our website with progress made. Have you had a chance to complete the survey https://goo.gl/2SjjZj
      Many thanks

Need the quietway to extend to St Gothard Road.
