Please support a fairer deal for third world farmers by buying products with a Fairtrade mark. Fairtrade mark on a products means that its producers, usually smallhold farmers who formed cooperatives or small producer organisations, get a guaranteed minimum price for their products, providing more stability and allowing them to plan for their future, and the future of their children. They also get a premium, which is a fund used by the whole community to spend on community projects, such as building a village school or a health clinic, or even buying a motorbike shared by the whole village to get to the nearest town or hospital!
Lambeth is a Fairtrade Borough and we support fairer trade for all.
Examples of Fairtrade products: bananas, coffee, tea, sugar, chocolate, flowers and cotton.
