We’ll be at the Lambeth Country Show this weekend!

July 17, 2015

We’re looking forward to this weekend’s Country Show! We’ll be there all weekend and you’ll be able to find us in the Get Involved tent in the Charities East section of the park on pitch ZE20.

Come and visit us to find out about your waste and recycling services, volunteering as a Green Community Champion, composting, reducing flood risk, supporting Lambeth’s pollinators and much more.

We’ll be giving away packets  of wildflower seeds and there’ll also be an opportunity to win a rain water harvester! Did you know that on average, a rain water harvester collects 1,380 litres of rain a year? Perfect for keeping your garden watered!

This 100 litre rain water harvester could be yours!

It couldn’t be easier to cycle to the show this year, there’ll be two secure cycle parks and The Metropolitan Police will also be available to security mark and register your bike free of charge.

It promises to be another great weekend and we really look forward to meeting many of you there!

It looks set to be a beautiful weekend and we are very much looking forward to talking to lots of you and hopefully, finding the odd half hour to enjoy some great music and delicious food!

This year, you’ll find us in the picnic and markets area in marquee P23, where we’ll have information on all of your recycling and waste services. If you have any questions, please take the opportunity to come and have a chat with us.

As well as information on current services and the changes coming in the autumn, we’ll have:

Have a look at the compost bins you can purchase through our subsidised scheme. Starting at just £11.98, they’re a great way to deal with garden and some food waste at home. Come and check them out for size, speak to us about how to start composting and see the results from our office compost bin.

Real Nappies
We’ll have a sample of our Real Nappy Pack, so you can see the different types of reusable nappies, find out how they work, how easy they are to use and how to apply for your own starter pack.

Lambeth Reuse and Recycling Centre
Come and find out about the recent improvements to the site, which include a new green roof and see examples of how the items you donate for reuse have a positive impact in the local community.

We’ll also have plenty of information about your Local Recycling Points, how to get involved with Depaving, the new food waste service, free no junk mail stickers and rumour has it that Bertie Bulb is making an appearance!

We look forward to seeing you there!
